The absolute most ridiculous change ever made

This change screws the 11th, 12th, and up racers...what if one of these guys get hot after the 10 to go mark...and win a few..."well, good job winning, that is what we are promoting...you finished 11th in the points although in the old system you would have finished 6th, better luck next year...here is your 250k bonus, and don't worry about that million you should have gotten. There's always next year!"

Or the 10th place guy...he could crash out of every fucking race after the 10 to go mark...and will still finish 10th and get his million...they should just send everyone who isn't in the top ten home...because basically they have nothing to race for anyway...

This doesn't promote winning in anyway...the most consistant racer will still be the leader with 10 races to go...if you don't believe me, bet me...yeah, it will be exciting in those last 10 races to see what happens...but there are gonna be alot of pissed off racers come the 10 races to go mark, and come seasons end...

Another thing to note...how will a championship under this new system rate with championships from the past...there will always be an asterik by these under the new system...like say Gordon wins 4 straight...everyone will try to compare him with the greats...but there will always be someone saying..."yeah, but he did that under the new system. those other guys did it when the whole season counted for something."

The new system just fucks everything up...look at last years standings...

1. Matt Kenseth
2. Jimmie Johnson
3. Dale Earnhardt Jr.
4. Jeff Gordon
5. Kevin Harvick
6. Ryan Newman

Under the new system it would have been like this...

1. Jimmie Johnson
2. Jeff Gordon
3. Ryan Newman
4. Dale Earnhardt Jr.
5. Kevin Harvick
6. Matt Kenseth

The only person that would have been unaffected is Harvick...Kenseth would have fallen from 1st to 6th...how is it fair to take away all of his hard work?...all old records would have to be thrown out because nothing that happens now is even close to the old system...

but i think this new system is silly

though i do think the old points system is also stupid as it rewarded to many points for consistant finishes but perhaps just altering the points where there would be a bigger differential between first and second and second and third etc would have been more beneficial to this very very dull sport
